How We Build UK Link Programmes
Our UK link building process is a structured workflow for acquiring editorial backlinks on genuine British publishers: research and target list building, UK publisher vetting, outreach and content coordination, client-approved placement, and live link reporting with inspectable URLs and anchors.
UK link building fails when process is opaque. You pay, a spreadsheet arrives late, and half the domains look English but not British. We run campaigns the other way around: targets you can review, publishers vetted for UK readership before anyone pitches, placements that go live only after approval, and reports that show exactly what went live and where.
The workflow below applies whether you are a UK brand, an international team entering Britain, or an agency buying under white label. Scope changes by vertical and goal. The standards do not.
We do not publish per-link price menus on this site. Every programme is quoted from your URLs, competition, and the difficulty of the British publishers required. What follows is how the work runs once scope is agreed.
Discovery and goal setting
We start with your site, the URLs you want referring domains on, and the google.co.uk queries that matter commercially. Homepage-only campaigns are rare. Category pages, guides, service area pages, and feature URLs each need different publisher types and anchor plans.
You share access to whatever context helps: current link profile exports, competitor domains you respect, vertical constraints, brand guidelines, and approval rules if you are agency-side. International brands flag other-market campaigns so UK anchors do not conflict with US or global English targeting on the same domain.
We agree placement types in scope: guest posts, niche edits, digital PR angles, blogger outreach, or a blend. We agree volume ranges, timelines, and reporting format. White-label clients set communication boundaries up front so end clients see your brand, not ours.
Target list building
Target list building is research, not inventory shopping. We identify British publishers whose topics, audience geography, and google.co.uk visibility overlap with your sector. Lists are built from editorial fit first, then filtered through vetting criteria below.
Each prospect includes the domain, section or page type we would pitch, why it fits your URL, and preliminary notes on audience and topical alignment. You receive the list for approval before outreach begins. If a domain is wrong for risk, vertical, or brand tone, we replace it.
We do not reuse the same list for every client in a sector. Two UK ecommerce stores in the same category can warrant different publishers depending on product angle, price point, and existing link neighbourhood. Lists also refresh as campaigns progress so you are not stuck approving stale domains from month one.
UK publisher vetting
Vetting is where UK programmes succeed or fail. A domain can look fine in a metrics tool and still fail as a British placement if readership sits overseas or outbound links behave like a marketplace.
Before outreach, we check google.co.uk organic visibility, UK audience signals, editorial quality, referring domain health, outbound link density, topical coherence, indexation on key URLs, and whether the same site appears in every country’s local offer from brokers. Sites that publish for every industry and every market in the same week do not pass.
We would rather drop a prospect than place your brand on a site that only looks British in a sales deck. Vetting runs again before reporting a link live in case a publisher’s profile changed between pitch and publication.
| Stage | What happens | Your involvement |
|---|---|---|
| Prospect identification | British publishers matched to your URL and vertical | Optional input on competitors or publishers to avoid |
| Vetting pass | UK traffic, editorial, and link neighbourhood checks | None required; results inform the target list |
| Target list delivery | Domains and fit notes shared for review | Approve, reject, or request replacements |
| Outreach and content | Editorial pitches and draft coordination with publishers | Review drafts when agreed in scope |
| Pre-live confirmation | Final URL, anchor, and placement type confirmed | Sign-off before publication where required |
| Live link reporting | Published URL, target, anchor, live check date | Receive report; raise issues if a link drops |
Outreach and editorial coordination
Outreach is written for British editors and bloggers, not for link brokers. Pitches reference UK angles, real expertise, and stories a publication would run anyway. We avoid templated spam that burns domains and wastes your budget.
Guest posts and contributed articles go through editorial review on the publisher side. We coordinate drafts, revisions, and disclosure requirements. Niche edits target existing UK content that already earns google.co.uk traffic, with insertions that read naturally in context. Digital PR and blogger outreach follow the same vetting standard even when the hook is news or data rather than a bylined article.
Timelines depend on publisher cadence. National media and high-demand British blogs move slowly. Niche regional titles can be faster. We communicate delays when editors slip rather than swapping in unvetted inventory to hit an arbitrary date.
Placement and anchor planning
Anchors are planned against your current profile, competitor patterns, and URL type. Branded and URL anchors form the base. Partial-match and natural phrase variants support category and guide pages. Exact-match commercial anchors are used sparingly and only where editorial context justifies them.
Placement goes live after you approve the domain and, when in scope, the draft or insertion context. We do not publish on surprise sites post-payment. If a publisher rejects a piece or changes terms, we propose an equivalent replacement from the approved pool or a newly vetted alternative.
Multiple placements in one month are staggered when velocity would look unnatural against your existing profile. There is no honest guarantee of rankings. Process quality and publisher quality are what we control.
Live link reporting
Every live placement is reported with the published page URL, your target URL, anchor text, placement type, live check date, and notes on the publisher. Reports are suitable for internal SEO teams, leadership, and agency client handoffs.
We verify that links are live and indexable on report date. If a link drops within an agreed window, we follow the replacement terms in your scope. Long-term persistence depends on publisher policy and site changes outside our control; we document what we find when you ask for a recheck.
White-label clients receive the same fields under their branding when agreed. CSV or spreadsheet formats can be arranged for teams that ingest data into dashboards.
What we need from you to start
Send your site URL, target market confirmation for the UK, priority pages, and whether you are in-house or agency-side. Note any publishers or tactics you refuse, competitor domains you admire, and other active link campaigns on the same property.
Use the contact form and we will reply with questions if needed, then a custom scope. There is no public pricing page because British publisher access and vertical difficulty vary too much for a honest one-size quote.
For sector-specific angles, see industries. For individual service formats such as guest posts, niche edits, or digital PR, see services.
